Simon and his brother Timothy are the sons of the Ringmaster of a travelling circus. Simon begins to have strange fragmented dreams of something that happened to him when he was very small. At the same time as the dreams are occurring, there are a series of serious accidents that happen in the circus and a strange power manifests itself. The circus crew are confused by the accidents and the power that changes things, and they disagree on how best to explain it. Has Simon’s past got something to do with the strange power that is occurring? Meanwhile, other members of the circus crew have their own problems and past to deal with. Matt and Pete, the motor bike stunt riders, seem to be carrying a dark secret from their earlier years that eventually catches up with them.
Jim Reiher lives in Melbourne Australia. He is married to Julie and they have 4 adult children, plus 10 grandchildren at last count. He has been telling stories for as long as he can remember. Over his lifetime Jim has been a clown, a magician, and rides a motor bike. Jim’s motor bike riding is his “contribution to caring for the environment” – well, that’s his story and he’s sticking to it. Jim has a serious side too: he has written a number of non-fiction books over his career and was a high school teacher, and then a lecturer for many years. He enjoys a good story, a gripping movie, going bush, and seeing his grandkids.
